Tournament Structure

Pool Play
Our tournament begins with pool play, where teams are divided into two pools of five teams each. During pool play, each team will compete against every other team in their pool once. To ensure fairness, each team will play two games on Field 1 and two games on Field 2.

Advancing to the Championship Bracket
After pool play concludes, the top two teams from each pool will advance to the championship bracket. The advancement is determined by a series of tie-breakers to ensure fairness and competitiveness.

Championship Bracket
The top two teams from each pool will enter the championship bracket, where they will compete for the tournament title. The format of the championship bracket will be single elimination, ensuring that the best teams advance and ultimately compete for the championship.

We believe this structure provides a fair and competitive environment for all participating teams, ensuring that the best teams advance based on their performance in pool play. Additionally, by playing on each field twice, we ensure an equitable experience for all teams.

Good luck to all teams, and may the best team win!

Tie Breakers for Pools

In the event that two or more teams have identical records at the end of pool play, the following tie-breaking criteria will be used in the specified order to determine the standings:

  1. Won-Loss-Tie Record: The team with the best win-loss-tie record in pool play will advance.

  2. Head-to-Head: If teams have identical records, the results of games played between the tied teams will be considered.

  3. Least Number of Runs Allowed in Total Pool Play: The team that has allowed the fewest runs across all their pool play games will advance.

  4. Run Differential in Total Pool Play (Maximum plus or minus 10 runs): The team with the highest run differential (runs scored minus runs allowed) in all pool play games will advance, with a maximum cap of plus or minus 10 runs per game.

  5. Least Number of Runs Allowed Against Tied Teams: The team that has allowed the fewest runs in games played against the other tied teams will advance.

  6. Run Differential Against Tied Teams (Maximum plus or minus 10 runs): The team with the highest run differential in games played against the other tied teams will advance, with a maximum cap of plus or minus 10 runs per game.

  7. Coin Toss: If teams are still tied after all previous criteria, a coin toss will determine which team advances.
